Services Offered: One-on-One Tutoring

One-on-one tutorials are often the best way for students to enrich their education outside of school. There is no substitute for the individual attention an experienced learning professional can give. All tutoring lessons are taught by David Freeling, who has over nine years of experience in the field.

Individual lessons allow students to ask questions and have their specific needs addressed. Students receive dedicated, personal instruction.

Subjects tutored include 1. all levels of Math from 5th grade through Calculus and Statistics with a focus on high school subjects such as Algebra, Geometry and Pre-calc. 2. English and verbal skills, such as reading, essay-writing and vocabulary building through unique Insight word-power methods 3. Standardized test preparation for the SSAT, HSPT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT exams.

Students enrolled in a test prep. tutorials receive dozens of colorful handouts covering all aspects of their exam. All materials provided are included with the lesson fee.

Rates:

For test prep. subjects and college essay assistance, the rate is $70 for each full hour lesson of dedicated individual instruction. For school subjects and homework help, the rate is $65 per one-hour session.

Lesson fees include all handouts and original Insight Tutoring teaching materials.

Cancellation Policy: All lessons should be cancelled at least one full day in advance, preferably more. Lessons cancelled lesson than a day in advance, but more than 3 hours in advance will be billed as a $35 late cancellationtice fee. Lessons cancelled less than 3 hurs in advance must be considered as last minute no-shows and will be billed in full.

Sorry, in order to keep my rates low for all, I need to be able to bill for these missed hours even in the event of extreme circumstances such as broken limbs, illness, car troubles, etc.

Location:

Tutoring lessons are conducted at the business office of Insight Tutoring, centrally located in San Francisco at Castro and 24th Street in Noe Valley. Get directions.

Second Location: I have home office in the East Bay at 1326 Russell Street in Berkeley. Usually it will be easier for me to schedule students in my San Francisco location, except for weekday mornings.
